History
Almost 20 years ago Keith Peterson, a skilled Toolmaker by trade, bought a small engraving company in Temecula called Western Engravers. This became his platform to build and transform the current company into what he really wanted to do, make parts. For many years he served the golf industry as he made a name for himself in part marking. Eventually through the acquisition of some key pieces of equipment and some marketing efforts, he began to break into the job shop market. In 1995 he changed the name of the company to Cornerstone CNC Machining and began to pursue machining work exclusively. His philosophy was to be a solution to the customers and they will come back. Taking on challenging parts has been the key to winning over customers. With his background in tool grinding and fixture building the transition was natural. In late 2004 Mike Coldwell joined the organization. Mike has been around the manufacturing world for over 25 years working in the cutting tool industry. He brought with him a wealth of knowledge in cutting tool application and customer service. This along with his strong business sense and organizational skills has caused things to really come together.
